Managed by Restaurant and Catering Proprietor Siegmund Brown, La Villa Philbrook features high-quality dining and impeccable service whether a casual lunch for three or a wedding for one thousand.
La Villa Restaurant proprietor Siegmund “Sig” Brown is a Tulsa area restaurant and catering entrepreneur who moved to Tulsa from San Francisco in 1997. He is the son of an international hotelier and attended high school in Vancouver, B.C., where he was a competitive amateur alpine ski racer at the provincial level. He then went on to receive classical culinary training and graduated from the School of Hospitality Management at Florida International University. Later, he earned an MBA from the University of Tulsa. After an extensive food and beverage career working for a national firm, he settled in Tulsa with a mission to share his love of food, wine, and outstanding service with the dining public. Siegmund and his best in class team are honored to have the privilege of providing lunch, brunch and special event catering to guests of Philbrook Museum and Philbrook Downtown.
Jaana Donathan is a native of Kurikka, Finland (a small town 400 km / 250 miles from Helsinki). Jaana moved to Tulsa in the early 90’s and started her food and beverage career in a bakery and later at Rendezvous Restaurant at Gilcrease Museum. Jaana spent 15 years managing La Villa Restaurant & overseeing hundreds of events at Philbrook where she was General Manger. Since 2011, Jaana has worked as Director of Catering Sales for Catering by PARTYSERVE. Jaana has coordinated hundreds of spectacular weddings, garden luncheons, and prestigious events at Philbrook. Her prestigious track record includes amazing events including the Chaine De Rotisseur. Philbrook Wine Experience (3 times), Governor Fallen’s inauguration, St. Simeon’s Western Days, The Heart Ball, The Tulsa Boy’s Home Run For the Roses, and many others . No matter how intimate, grand, simple, or complex, Jaana loves directing catered events at Philbrook and Philbrook Downtown.

Since then she has held various management roles within PARTYSERVE including Catering, Bars, and Event Operations, including Philbrook Wine Experience and Philbrook Catering staffing and event operations. Tess is a graduate of Oklahoma State University’s School of Hospitality Management.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Executive Chef Seth Smith to the management team at LaVilla.A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, London with Le Grand Diplomme, he holds the highest American honors in 11 years. Seth graduated first in his class, with full distinction. He is one of less than 200 International Certified Chefs in North America with this Diplomme. In London he also received a Master Catering Chef Certificate and apprenticed with The French Embassy UK.
A Tulsan, Chef Seth was the proprietor of Taste Catering for over 10 years. He has spent most of his career on a culinary journey with experiences in Maine, Oregon, Colorado, Florida, New York City and abroad.
While in Florida, Seth was a member of the opening team for two new restaurants and was a guest Sous Chef at The Naples Winter Wine Festival. In NYC, he held an executive pastry position at an elite catering firm, worked the special event circuit among “the best of the best” in the NYC culinary scene.
